Karnataka Electro Homoeopathy Foundation (R) (KEHF)

Who We Are

Karnataka Electro Homoeopathy Foundation (Reg.), commonly known as KEHF, is a professionally constituted, membership-based organisation formed to bring together individuals who practise Electro Homoeopathy as an alternative therapeutic approach.

The Foundation exists to provide a structured, organised, and collective professional platform for practitioners, enabling them to function within a shared framework based on responsibility, cooperation, transparency, and lawful conduct.

KEHF operates as a professional association, not as a regulatory authority, medical council, or educational institution. Its purpose is to promote professional unity, informed practice, and collective awareness of ethical and legal responsibilities, while supporting practitioners in engaging responsibly with the public and authorities.

Organisational Position & Scope

KEHF does not claim recognition of Electro Homoeopathy as a statutory medical system under any medical council or regulatory authority. It does not position itself as an alternative to recognised medical councils, nor does it assert equivalence with any system of medicine governed by law.

The Foundation does not:

  • Provide medical education
  • Conduct examinations
  • Award degrees, diplomas, or licences
  • Act as an academic or statutory regulatory body

Its role is strictly limited to professional coordination, legal awareness, ethical guidance, and organisational support for practitioners operating within legally permissible limits.

KEHF strongly emphasises transparency in professional representation, discourages misrepresentation in practice, and promotes clear and honest public communication regarding the nature and scope of Electro Homoeopathy as an alternative therapy.

Legal Background & Judicial Clarity

Karnataka Electro Homoeopathy Foundation (Reg.) functions with a clear understanding of the legal environment governing alternative therapeutic practices in India. All activities of the Foundation are undertaken in conformity with applicable laws, government orders, and judicial pronouncements.

The legal framework guiding KEHF includes, but is not limited to:

  • Government of India orders dated 25 November 2003 and 05 May 2010
  • Judgment of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India in Criminal Appeal No. 4642 of 2018
  • Order of the Hon’ble High Court of Karnataka, Dharwad Bench, in
    P. No. 107627 of 2024, dated 06 February 2025

These authoritative decisions collectively clarify the permissibility and boundaries of Electro Homoeopathy practice.

The Hon’ble High Court of Karnataka has expressly clarified that:

  • Electro Homoeopathy may be practised as an alternative therapy
  • Such practice does not fall under the regulatory scope of the Karnataka Private Medical Establishments (KPME) Act
  • Authorities should not interfere merely because an individual practises Electro Homoeopathy, provided the practice is carried out lawfully, ethically, and without violation of applicable laws

KEHF aligns its functioning strictly with these judicial observations. The Foundation does not support unlawful practice, false claims, or any activity that may mislead the public. Its objective is to ensure practitioners remain aware of legal boundaries and conduct their professional activities in a manner consistent with judicial guidance and public interest.
